We were very picky in selecting a shirt manufacturer to use for our first WRC logo tee. Of course we wanted to choose a garment that delivered performance and style. But we also wanted a shirt partner that we could really believe in. An innovative, forward-thinking company.
At about the same time as we began considering our options -- in spring 2009 -- we contacted Atayne to explore the possibilities of carrying their POV (point of view) tech tops. We hit it off immediately and were super-pleased to learn that they were also developing a custom program to launch concurrent with their second generation POV shirts. All that was left was to place our order and wait for the production process to unspool. Some decisions are just that easy.
The WRC logo tee is fundamentally the same shirt as the Grind T. It has the same cut, and is constructed of the same 100% recycled polyester (from post consumer plastic bottles) and treated with the same naturally-derived Chitosan. We also used Atayne's printer to apply the WRC graphics, which means only water-based or phthalate-free inks were used.
Bottom line: you'd be hard-pressed to find a tech tee designed and produced with more careful consideration of its environmental impact.
The cut of Atayne's women's T is plenty long, true to the size chart below, and cut to be form-flattering but not tight. Size up one size if you prefer a looser cut. V neck.
