Out like a lion. A spring storm rolled through the night of March 31 – April 1, spitting rain down low and snow up high. I noticed as I was leaving the house Thursday morning that the Pine Valleys were still trying to shake off the last of the clouds.

Yeah, after shoveling a good 14″ of the white fluffy stuff before the dog-walk this morning, I nearly called in “sick.” Alas, my guilty conscience was stronger than my desperate need for a powder day. Being a good girl totally sucks.
Still, there’s something special about a good spring storm! Love the picture.
We got a ton of rain followed by 2 inches of snow at a relatively low elevation (2,450′) in the Sierra Nevada foothills last night! April in like a lion here.
I got a message from a friend “SLC is a winter wonderland!” and my heart sang for him. I wished I was there to ski that fluffy stuff
But, I am loving this spring weather we have here in the Midwest!
