Shipping Guidelines

What are the details of your ‘Free Shipping’ policy?

We are pleased to offer shipping at no charge for all orders of at least $50 (net of any discounts) to the 48 contiguous states. Free shipping is not currently available on orders to Alaska, Hawaii, or Canada.

What are your general shipping policies?

Our strict policy is to never intentionally mark up charges for shipping. If you do not qualify for free ground shipping or choose an express shipping option, you can be confident that the amount you are charged is a fair reflection of our actual shipping costs.

We typically use U.S. Postal Service. You can thus choose to receive your gear at home, office, or a post office box. When we process your order, an e-mail will be sent to you with the USPS tracking number for your package.

Can you Express ship my order to me?

Yes. You will be presented with several shipping options and their cost at checkout. If you prefer a non-standard method of delivery, simply choose your preferred express option and we will process your order accordingly. All general shipping terms outlined above apply.

Returns & Exchanges

What is your return/exchange policy?

We are committed to providing you with an extraordinary shopping experience and our hope is that you’ll be completely satisfied with your purchase from Wilderness Running Company. Nevertheless, we understand that shopping for clothing, shoes, and other size-specific items over the internet can sometimes be an uncertain process. Should an item fall short of your expectations, we’ll gladly make an exchange or accept a return for refund within 30 days of the shipment of your order. Merchandise can be returned for an exchange or a refund for any reason within this 30 day window. Merchandise should be in new condition to receive a refund or exchange. If you’d like to make an exchange, you can do so in one of two ways: (1) You can place another order on-line for the replacement item(s). You will be billed as for any standard purchase. You can then ship us the items you don’t want from your original order, and upon receipt we will issue you a credit for the returned items. Please include a copy of your receipt to ensure accurate processing. (2) You can simply ship us the items you’d like to exchange. Please include a copy of your receipt and write instructions detailing your desired exchange. We will process the exchange according to your instructions or contact you if necessary.

Please note the following: upon receiving your original item(s), we will process any credit or charge related to the exchange and ship your replacement item(s) within one business day. However, some card-issuing banks are a bit slower in issuing credits to your account than they are in debiting it. As such, two charges might appear on your account for a brief period of time while your card-issuing bank goes through the credit-issuing process. We must stress that we issue credits promptly and our credit card processor processes them promptly. Any delay you experience in seeing a credit reach your account is a matter to discuss with your card-issuing bank. Once we issue a credit to your account, there is nothing further we can do to expedite your bank’s finalization of the credit.

Please also note that you will be responsible for the cost of shipping the original item(s) back to us, and may also be charged for shipping on the item(s) you receive in exchange.

General

Why don’t you carry (insert brand/model name)?

We are always looking for new products that we think meaningfully improve the wilderness running experience. We are also committed to offering a sufficiently broad selection of relevant brands and products to accommodate different needs and preferences. The products we offer today reflect our attempt to assemble the best lineup possible given where we are as a sport and company. In some cases, we are anxious to add a brand or product, and will as soon as is feasible. In other cases, we confess to being somewhat biased: we are less engaged by companies whose entry into trail running is a mere brand extension. You can expect to see our company, and our inventory, grow and evolve along with the sport, but we hope it will always be clear that we have been selective in the procurement process and only feature products we genuinely believe in. We are also open to suggestion. If you’ve had great results with a particular product that we don’t currently offer, please tell us about it.
